About us
Four Seasons Auction Gallery is one of Atlanta’s and Georgia’s established auction houses — a single gallery in Oakwood run by a certified appraiser, selling estates, fine art, jewelry and the occasional motor car to buyers around the world.
1998
Aardvark Antiques & Estate Liquidations opens in Oakwood, and the antiques side of the business begins.
2016
Charles S. Pharr, Jr. takes ownership of Four Seasons Auction Gallery.

Integrity
Charles started with a thrift store. Over the following twenty-odd years that became Aardvark Antiques & Estate Liquidations, opened in Oakwood in 1998 and voted North Georgia’s number one antique store — and then, in 2016, Four Seasons Auction Gallery.
Somewhere in that stretch he did the harder thing: he got qualified. The Certified Appraiser of Personal Property designation is the highest the International Society of Appraisers awards, and roughly 107 people in North America hold it. It requires examination, coursework and continuing education, and it carries an ethical obligation — a certified appraiser cannot hold a financial interest in property he appraises.
Both businesses were built on being straight about what something is, what it isn’t, and what it’s likely to bring.
That matters more in this trade than in most. An auction house sees people at moments they didn’t choose — a parent’s house to clear, a divorce, a business closing. The temptation to overpromise is constant, and the whole business runs on not doing it.

A single inherited piece, an entire household estate, a business liquidation, or the building it all sat in. If it has a buyer somewhere, we’ll find them.
Where we sell it
Our auctions are presented online through major bidding platforms, including LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable, giving consignors access to a broad national and international audience. In-house auctions are also broadcast online, while some sales are conducted entirely online.
Our staff
Auctions are opaque if nobody walks you through them. Our staff exists to help buyers and consignors understand the process — how bidding works, what a buyer’s premium is, and how we arrive at an estimate in the first place.
If you’ve never bought or sold at auction before, say so. It’s the most common thing we hear and the easiest thing to fix.
Consigning
In addition to our own established buyer and retail customer base, Four Seasons Auction Gallery places appropriate sales on major online bidding platforms, including LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable, providing access to hundreds of thousands of potential bidders worldwide.
